The Rent-A-Journalist Project
Being a freelance journalist isn’t easy.
In fact; it’s downright dangerous.
Keeping my cupboards stocked with tuna and bread requires a lot of work. A lot of work, coincidentally, is what I love doing.
So here’s the pitch - you want a story written? I’ll write it. Probably. (I will not, under any circumstances, tell you who put the Ram in the Ramalamadingdong or Where Waldo is. Both are matters of national security.)
I’m not asking for fabulous riches. You donate what you think is appropriate, and you send an email asking what you’d like to see a story written about. I’ll write it. After that, it belongs to you - do with it as you will. Publish it here, publish it on your site - whatever. If I can’t/won’t write the story, I’m happy to give the money back.
Or you can donate and let me keep doin’ my thang. Either way.
Just remember that you’re saving journalism. Kittens, too, if that helps.
If PayPal isn’t your bag, or you want to work out another arrangement, let me know. I also accept in-kind donations (i.e. beer.)
Just send me an email. I’ll get back with groveling thank-yous ASAP.
